kr0max: Joining mpegs is bad news from a sync POV. its to do with the format. No tool will join properly, some are better than others at attempting it....

Anyway have a look at the guide on the site. That guide solves a common problem:

Quote:
The problem:

- We want to produce a DVDR of two SVCD movies.
- The movies each have different bitrates and each span 2 CDs.
- We want a decent menu which allows us to choose which movie to watch.
- We want each movie to play in totality i.e we don't want to be coming back to the menu after CD1 of movie 1.

The solution:
Your requirement it similar

Maybe you can give me ahint, i have followed the DVDMaestro guide, but when i drop the video from the asset bin to the 'Movie' layout (and wack on the video & audio assets for each cd as shown i get the following error:
The Video Asset length is graeter than the maximum allowed.

The length of this SVCD file is 57.52min.

Default dvd authoring programs

hi, i'm having trouble writing a dvd... i've written several dvds that have read fine using svcd2mpegdvd, spruceup, and ahead nero. there's just one dvd that i haven't been able to write cuz spruceup freezes while it's compiling every time. i haven't been able to install dvd moviefactory 2 either because installshield is screwed up for my computer. i have sonic's mydvd too but the program encodes files way bigger than spruceup does so i can't fit as many vcd files on one dvd. any other authoring programs out there that can compile vcd files onto dvd's? or any suggestions?
