Default Backing up dvd-r games w/knife swap

sponsored links

Hey guys,

I have never attempted backing up my ps2 games so please dont mind the stupid questions. Do I have to have a mod chip in the ps2 to play backups of games or does the knife trick i read about work ok if I have game shark 2? Is there anything I'm missing (other than a mod chip) that I need? I have a untouched ps2, cd-r drive and a dvd-r drive. I am going to follow the instructions on how to prep my ps2 to make the knife trick work but didnt want to until i'm sure backups wil work.

Any help is appreciated.

Thx.

The knife trick works, what version PS2 do you have. What does the SPCH number say.
