dont frett it... it shuts down like that cause ur usin an ATX board... there is a way 2 make it do that as they have been talkin bout... but theres no need... its better 4 the computer 2 shut itself off... thats y they made it like that... i dono y it didnt do that b4 u formatted... prob some glitch... if it really bothers ya go in2 the bios and change ur power management settings... but theres really no need 2 frett bout it... good luck and take care

Well... I have also seen Mainboards, especially Mercury 810 boards... with AT standards and PSU.... still soft off.... but the CDROM LED and IDE activity LED stays ON till you physically push the switch to OFF.

That's the board. I've always had to switch it on and off, switch stays in when switched on, I think I've said all that already.

I can't find the bit in the bios or device manager that Mastermind mentioned.
It doesn't worry me but, I'd like to know how to make it do what it used to.
