Hiya m8, yes it would be easier using the X over cable, bearing in mind both PC's need NICs fior this to happen, it is the cheapest way anyway. Also go to the following site, [URL=***********.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/]Practically Networked and they have all the step by step info needed for ICS

now suppose i want to go online with my ps2, this will technically create 3 "computers". Will i need a router in that case?

[edit] i have another network card, if install that also into the PC A then can i connect the PS2 to that via crossover cable, and connect the other nic to PC B, and the cable modem in the usb port??????

thanks again

If you are going to be using a PS2 I would definitely say go with the router. I am sure you could probably do it via ICS, but I would just use a router. That way, your other PC and PS2 are not dependant on the other computer being up...

Just my opinion.

if you have windows2k server OS you could make one of em into a gateway using routing and remote access but you would also need 2 nics on that pc
