Default Problems with Pinnacle Instantcopy

sponsored links

I recently bought a Toshiba DVD-R that came with this software. I wanted to backup some data files onto a DVD-RW, but it said i needed a media for 4.5 GB when the DVD-RW is 4.7 GB itself. I ignored it and it stopped burning after around 4.25 GB.

Then I proceeded to erase the DVD-RW and try again, but it wouldn't do it. It will start erase, but no progress bar would not move, then it will just eject the DVD-RW and say drive is not ready. Very frustrating. Anyone have any tips for me? My drive is a Toshiba SD-R5112. How would I erase the disc? Is there a better program for that?

Am I better off just using different software?

Actually it is more like 4.37GB's. The 4.7GB is a metric measurement as in 4.7*10^9 bytes. Where as in computers all measurements are binary so 4.7 GB's would be 4.7*2^30.
