Unhappy Not MSBlast and Welchia Worm but sys still shuts down

Hi a friend has a laptop with xp home on and it keeps closing down ie the ur sys will shutdown in 60'59'58 sec MSBlast and Welchia type of thing ran the removal tools from nortons site and they found nothing added patch to system and all seems ok so far any ideas any one i down loaded the patch to a computer running win 98se and put the removal tools on a floppy and the patch on a cdr ran them on laptop

Please help me also - I have this problem, have run the Systemtec (or whatever) sw and it removed 1 file, however whenever I go on the net it finds the virus again and reboots after 60 seconds???

oh yeah and it says it IS the welchia worm. I d/led the patch from MS ages ago though
