Default .ASF files

sponsored links

I have a new Mustek dv5000 video camera that creates video files in asf format.
I want to be able to play the files on my DVD so I need to copy as SVCD.
Nero wont let me encode it so I tried converting to MPEG using TMPGEnc but the resultant file isnt as good picture quality as the asf file
Can anyone tell me what the best way forward is
Cheers
Mick
