Default can't power on after video card upgrade.

wake on lan light still on but can't power on, is the mb dead? when i hit power button the activity light flash once. how can i test if the md is still working, if the wake on lan light still works that means it is not the power supply right? is it the ram cuz i put cooling kit on the ram..

what happened is what support techs refer to as system "lockup" add a new piece of hardware and suddenly the system appears to be totally dead or briefly flashes some sign of life then dies. sometimes merely unplugging the system and letting it set for a few minutes cures the problem and other times you have to strip the system down and add each component piece by piece powering the system on each time untill you get a boot.
