Question QSI DVD/CDRW SBW-081 drivers lost...NEED the drivers

sponsored links

Can anyone help me please??? I am operating an HP Pavilion xf328 Notebook.
CD/DVD had been working fine....until today! Drive seems to work fine, but windows is saying there is no CD/DVD. Device Mgr says driver is lost or corrupt. My system, for whatever reason, won't do a restore to a previous SAVE. I can't reload drivers from disc since disk drive is not recognized. I have been searching ALL day for this driver on the web and can only find upgrades for it, not the original driver. Does anyone have this driver that they can send me via email??? I need the drivers for "QSI DVD/DCRW SBW-081". I desperately need these drivers.....my Notebook is my lifeline

Thanks,
Terri

Hi Terri
I had the same proble with my laptop but with a different model of qsi CD/rw.
I found the answer in the Microsoft Knowledgebase Article #314006 you need to be able to edit the registry. I assume you are useing XP. QSi dont produce any drivers for their devices theyn rely solely on windows drivers. Go to
********support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;314060

Hope this works.
Peter
