Default telewest/broadband user's help needed

hi all thanks for looking in .

getting bb in a few days telewest.my pc's in the living room and my kids is in there bedroom was hoping to network them together so both were on bb but my brother-in-law says i wont be able to network both together on telewest??.is this a load of s**t or what? he says its somthing to do with there server.

was wanting a wireless system as ther quiet a bit apart.
also if some1 has a similar setup could u recomened a wireless kit.

All broadband can be networked and shared for the most part ... some are just harder to do than others. Im not familiar with telwest, but the principle is the same.
Pick up a wireless router and wireless network card for the other PC, and set up the telwest on one computer wired. Once set up, connect the router to the PC, access the routers interface, and use the MAC address cloning to tell the router to mimic the MAC address of the PC you set up the telwest modem on.
If they (telwest) have done anything to try and stop sharing, it can be worked around using the MAC address cloning.

Yup , a router or similar is what you need with smellyvest.

You can (unless you trade up your account) only register 1 mac address with them to log on to their network.
With a router you can tell it to clone the mac of your main PC (the one you currently use to access the net.
You then connect your PC's to the router....
Simple.
