Can Anyone Help

Recencently tryed networking two computers, network installs fine on first computer. But the second computer keeps giving me a network cable disconnected msg on the netw icon.

I have tried changing netw cables and have also tried a new pci network adapter card.

I have also tried un-installing and re-installing adapters, disabling and re-enabling the connection have looked into control panel properties and the start up bios. All to no avail.

Any sujestions anyone. THANKS

Dont forget to create a bridge.Make sure you are using a crossover cable which looks like a(CAT5) patch cable and easily confused with. That should solve your problem.

Thanks PSJuan

I Have Tried creating a bridge however that option is only avalable between my newly installed netw adapter & My on board netw adapter.

Aside from that i believe i,m using a cat5 patch cable i will try a crossover cable however i,m not sure of the difference.

Could you please explain ??

Thanks again.
