Question wireless speeds

sponsored links

I currently have several PCs and laptops set up at my home and they all run through a 4-port NETGEAR 54Mbs wireless router. 2 desktop PCs are hard wired and connect at 100Mbs. 2 other older PCs are hard wired as well, but connect at 10Mbs. I then have 4 other PCs connected to it via wireless. 2 have 54Mbs wireless cards adn the other 2 have 10Mbs wireless cards. I've heard that no matter how high any of your speeds are, if there is one with a 10Mbs connection, they ALL drop to 10Mbs connections on the network. Is this true?
