Unhappy SWBR-5400 & a Zoom USB WIRELESS-G

sponsored links

Can anyone help. I've been running my wireless laptop and pc with the above router since xmas. The pc was connected directly to the router. At the time i also purchased the Zoom usb wireless-g so i could put the pc upstairs for the kids.

Now i can't get the pc upstairs to get a connection to the internet. It keeps telling me that i have limited or no connectivity, but the router is downstairs below the pc. When i get xp to repair the connection it says that it couldnt renew the ip address? The pc says that its status is aqquiring network address which would appear to be my problem because the usb wireless g says the signal strength is excellent.

Now i can sit here upstairs with my laptop and it works perfectly.

I've check everything according to the instructions but as you know the more you check and look the more you miss.

I'm extremely grateful for any help you could give. Thanks
