Default Changing selfboot format - WWF royal rumble CD-AUDIO

sponsored links

Hi All,

Just a question about ripping data from CDI's to reburn as a different selfboot format.

I have a japanese dreamcast that has problems booting anything other than data- data selfboot format cd's. I have managed to convert a few stubborn games and they are now working - but having problems with WWF Royal Rumble.

when I extracted the bin/cue files from the cdi with CDIRIP I got two BIN files. Using ISObuster on these I can see files like you would expect in root of DC disk on bin01 - but bin02 appears empty.

I am guessing this BIN is some sort of CD audio as when I burn the ISO (generated new IPBIn - built with MKISOFS - then patched with Bin2Boot) the game now boots up and works - perfectly - but with NO AUDIO. I have not bothered to pad the image - so there is plenty of room for this audio on the CD I am guessing.

Have been trying to find a quide that would explain how to add the info in the second bin to the finished ISO. Not having much luck - every guide I have read seems to say you should only get one BIN file using CDIRIP - or that "you're in trouble" if there are two..

Actually I thought all CDI format discjuggler images were selfboot and only the earlier cdr win .cue and .bin files non-selfboot. IF it is CDI the there is a strong chance it is selfboot.

There is really no reason to rip and change the format, jsut burn the thing using alcohol 120%.
