Exclamation Need Intel Indeo R5.1 codec

sponsored links

I have some vids that I used to be able to watch when I had the k-lite codec pack installed. Caused problems w/ WMP so I uninstalled it. Now I can't play them. Using AviCodec I found out I need this codec to view these avi's. I was able to find the Ligos version but that still doesn't work. Guess it absolutely has to be the Intel version. Looked everywhere, can't find it as a stand-alone & I'll never install another codec pack again after my experience w k-lite. Would anyone know where I might get it? Even tried Intel, NFG. Help if you can, thanks.

Thanks but no, that's the same pack. I've noticed something else. After installing the Ligos version my codec library shows this:
--------
ext, codec, version

iyuv Intel Indeo(R) Video YUV Codec 5.1.2600.2180 (xpsp_Microsoft Corporation C:\WINDOWS\system32\iyuv_32.dll

----------
The report it gives stating why file can't play says:

Video : 84 MB, 1309 Kbps, 9.997 fps, 640*480 (4:3), IV50 = Intel Indeo R5.1, Unsupported

----------
Notice that file extention difference? iyuv installed but file type is IV50

ever heard of this?

Thanks jasev for the link. I downloaded the file, ran it, and it works on my older avi files, even on Vista.
