Default No eject light

sponsored links

I replaced the BA chip only to find that a game eventually started to boot, then froze then the PS2 went into a state like before: wont eject, etc. Blue LED is intermittent. Blue led will just flash like it is GOING to eject. I get a flicker of the video black screen, but that is it. No "Sony corporation" logo or anything. I cleaned up the BIOS chip with desolder braid as well as the BA, and checked with a meter for bridging (none). I also installed a new reset/eject ribbon cable. What the heck is wrong with this unit? It is a V7 by the way.

history: Installed modbo 745 and unit worked fine for 3 days before dying the first time. Uninstalled chip and cleaned up all solder points....
