Default Can't find CD drives in bios

sponsored links
I am trying to re-install XP, and I need to boot from a CD. When I go into the bios, my CD drives are not listed as a choice to boot from.
Can you help?

Check first if your cd-rom drive is detected in windows operating system. If not, check your cables the IDE cable and the power cable. If the cd-rom device is detected in windows operating system and not appering on the boot sequence selection then you need to update your BIOS.
