Panasonic TM900 Camcorder Videos to iPhoto MOV Converter on Mac OS X
Some camcorders include still picture recording mode to enable you to capture still images while recording a movie. For example, the latest camcorder Panasonic TM900/SD900/HS900/SD800, Panasonic 700 series, Canon HF S21. For Sony camcorders like HDR-CX350/XR350 and HDR-XR550, it is advertised as dual record with still image capture capability.
However, if you did not capture the image and want to get image from the recorded videos, you can use Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac to capture image for you for free. Then you can put the captured still image to iPhoto. Here is the quick guide for you to capture still image from camcorder and camera videos and convert to iPhoto .mov. The supported cameras and camcorders includes but not limited to Panasonic TM900, Lumix DMC-GH2, HDC-SD9EB, Sony HDR-XR520, Cyber-shot DSC-HX5V, Canon HF S200, Flip Ultra HD and Sony Bloggie Touch.
Step 1. Import camcorder footage to Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac.
Connect your camcorder or camera to iMac/MacBook Pro with USB cable, run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the 2011 best camcorder videos to iPhoto converter on Mac OS X. Click the "Add" button and you can load various cam videos like .avi, .mts, .m2ts, .tod, .mod for conversion.
Step 2. Play videos and capture still image.
Select a video clip and click the Play button on the bottom of the preview window, the video will start playing. Click the Snapshot button when the video plays to the frame you like and the image will be saved on Apple Macintosh hard drive. Click the folder button next to the Snapshot button to open the folder with the captured image.

Step 3. Choose MOV format for iPhoto.

Step 4. Convert camcorder footage to iPhoto MOV on Mac.

Tips:
1. If your camcorder is recording 1080i videos, you can deinterlace 1080i to 1080p for smooth playback on Mac. Just click the "Editor" button, go to the Effect tab and make sure the checkbox for deinterlacing is ticked before clicking the convert button in step 4.
2. If you would like to edit the camcorder and camera videos on Mac, you can choose ProRes 422 for FCP 6 and 7, or choose Apple Intermediate Codec under the QuickTime Movie Format profile for FCP 5, FCE and iMovie.
