How to Downloading Media Content to Your Nook HD/HD+ tablet?

A simple tutorial for transferring music, videos, ebooks and more content to your Nook HD/HD+ tablet. And a list of supported file formats of the Nook tablets.

You can transfer files, including EPUB files (ebooks), Microsoft files, photos, and music files from your PC/Mac HDD to Nook HD tablet. Transferring files this way sometimes called “sideloading”.

To transfer Apps, Books, Music, Videos, Newsstand, Audiobooks, Photos, or Docs libraries to your Nook HD or HD+ tablet, process as follows :
Using the custom microUSB cable provided with your Nook tablet, connect your Nook HD/HD+ to your PC/Mac computer.
When you connect Nook tablet to a Windows PC, the PC might display a dialog box asking if you want to install a driver for a “Nook”. Click Cancel to close this dialog box. You don’t need to install a special drive to transfer files to your Nook tablet.
When you connect Nook tablet to a Mac, your Nook will appear as a new disk drive on your computer desktop. Drag the file you want to transfer onto the “MyNook” drive.
Open the “MyNook” drive and you’ll see several folders. Move your personal files in the My Files folder. Within the folder, you can sort files into these folders:

Books
Documents
Magazines
Music
Newspapers
Photos
Videos
Wallpapers

Put your music, videos and ebooks in their proper folders. When you have finished arranging files, eject the “MyNook” drive on your PC/Mac and disconnect the microUSB cable.

Nook HD/Nook HD+ tablet supported file formats:
Music formats: MP4, M4A, 3GP, AAC, MP3, FLAC, WAV, OGG, AMR
Video formats: MP4, 3GP, WEBM
Picture formats: JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP
Reader/Other formats: PDF, ePUB, DRP, ePIB, FOLIO, OFIP, CBZ, TXT, RTF, XLS, DOC, PPT, PPS, PPSX, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, LOG, CSV, EML, ZIP

Tips to Get Your Video Files Fit for Nook HD/HD+ Playback

If your movie isn’t already in one of the Nook tablet supported formats or it’s still on a DVD or a Blu-ray, you can get the Ultimate Blu-ray Video Converter tool or its equivalent Mac version entitled iMedia Converter Mac to get your movie library ready for your Nook HD/HD+ tablet.
