Unhappy help, Trying to burn psx game using nero , Skipping sound/video

sponsored links

I've been trying to burn a PSX backup.. using Nero
i have a Cue and a Bin file but i just renamed the .bin file to .nrg
it burnt and the game works apart from the music and video.. it plays but it skips all the time and cuts out in a sort of 5-10 second rythme....
is there some sort of setting i need to set?
i have nero version 5.5.2.4
if some one could help id very much appreciate it
thanks!

how fast are you burning?
and what media are you using?

not knowing what you are using, i'd recommend verbatim cdr's and burn ad 2 or 4x. see how that gets ya going

I once burned a .bin with nero but the game would not load, it just gave a black screen. Then I burned it with fireburner, worked like a charm.

Changing the file extension may be causing your problems.

Try this:
-Change the .nrg back to .bin.
-In Nero, click file and select burn image.
-Select the .bin and select Mode 2 image when it asks what kind of image it is. (You may need to select "all files" to be able to select the .bin)
-Then burn.

I have never had a problem with burn speed. Just make sure you are not burning faster than the media is rated for and try not to use any of those burnproof schemes.

If it still skips, your psx laser may need cleaning, the .bin may have been ripped w/errors or your psx laser may be messed up internally.

Peace,
barracuda

The problem was that u change the extension, they are different programs files so ofcourse it doesn't work, with PSX from my experience it's never about the media issue, it takes even the cheapest cdr out there, to burn that use fire burner because it supports .bin files, better yet use CDRwin but it's not likely that u can get ur hand on the working version because cracks will not work on it. Another alternative is to use isobuster and exact all the content from the bin files and burn it as data. And also try to burn it slowly around 8X to below is fine.
