Default Cinema Craft or TMPGE

sponsored links

I have tryed both with DVD2SVCD cinema craft seems to freeze up and never finish TMPGE takes so long. Anything i can do to get cinema to not freeze or to speed up TMPGE? Dose setting TMPGE to higest quality do a much better job or is a lower setting just as good and faster? Also if you change the bitrate so you burn to more cd's will that give you better quality.

The first time I used CC with dvd2svcd I thought it had locked up as well so canxld the job. The second time I did a few minimise/maximise and up it popped showing the processing. Try it a few times and see if the file size outputted is different - if it is then you know it's working in the background although it appears to have hung.

TMPG is of course an excellent program but does take a long time I'm afraid. Speeding it up could be determined by spec or software settings but by doing this you may lose quality.

If you up the bitrate then you will certainly get better quality but you also have to way it with the process taking longer and having to change cd more often.

You have to have a full verion of CCE SP for it to work and it has to be version 2.50, CCE Lite 2.50 will not work. Depending on spec of machine it could take upto 15 hours to encode.

I have CCE Lite 2.62.01.01 dated 13/03/2002 it works very well but is slow as is TMPEGenc, another one you could try is Honestech mpeg encoder 3.0 it is a little quicker than the other 2 and does a good job.
