Mitsumi CR-4802te. 4x2x8x slow but works. Burned over 100 DC games and 500 cds overall and still works as good as when I got it.

i have a mitsumi 4801-TE and it works even though it seems like previuos mitsumis didn't; i have used the echelon boot method (non cdr-win method) and it worked fine even on roadsters which has about 10 wav files that you have to burn on the first session;
Alright. how the **** are you burning DC games to burn with that burner ??
I have that EXACT same burner model (the mitsumi 4801-TE) and have only got 1 successful non-selfbooting game to work ! What are you doing differently ?

I'm pretty sure that my old drive was the HP-9150i 8x4x32x. I used it to burn over 100 backups but it fried on me eventually. Maybe you're doing something wrong..?

I have a TDK 8x4x32 and LG 8x4x32 and they both do well for copying DC backups. Now I'm interested in a SONY32x, does anyone have any input on this devise or Sony period (as far as recording DC games) Thanks
