that wont work because when you extract the files off the disc, you need to hack files in addition to the 1st_read.bin. I haven't come across anyone that could get that game to boot after chaging music.

I tried to just re-selfboot MSR because I thought it would make the music not skip and I didn't change anything in the game but it still wouldn't boot so I think you will still have problems without changing the music to get it to boot.

And if some games like NBA 2K2 have an LBA of 11700 and you try re-selfbooting it too 11702 it won't work because I think it has a LBA check or something which is part of a protection. I wanted to add a dummy to this game and it would only boot if it had the LBA of 11700.

I only had trouble selfbooting NBA 2K2 when changeing the lba but with MSR it still wouldn't boot, even with the same lba so they are different protections I think. I think the protection is from Sega though, not kalisto because I tried ripping WSB 2K2 my self and it wouldn't boot at all probably because of the lba thing.

if MSR was ripped b4 whats the reason it cant extract and selfboot again? even make it back to nonboot?...what i can after make it nonboot is able to play the intro movie, and thats it. press start button and it back to dreamcast's main menu.

search for the bin files but non of them seems have the lba11700 code there...yes some section of the bin files looks like 1st_read.bin (when hex edit it) but they seems have different lba code in there.
