Question .dat - .mpeg help

Can anyone help.
I need to change the format of my discs from .dat to .mpeg so that i can play them on my dvd player which is supposed to play vcd.
All help gratefully recieved

Use VCDgear to convert .dat to .mpeg....if ur running win2k u might need to use isobuster 1st, to extract the .dat to ur harddrive, otherwise, just copy the .dat to ur harddrive normally and then convert it.
