Default Here's how to UNINSTALL Medal of Honor in Windows XP

sponsored links

First off, I can't take credit for the process I'm about to explain. It was Celtic Druids idea. He explained that you,

1. Go into the registry and delete the uninstall entry for mohaa.

2. Reinstall the game.

3. Now you can sucessfully UNINSTALL the game.

Now the only problem I had about that was finding the correct registry entry to delete. It's not cut and dry like putting in mohaa or ea games.
This is what I did. I have a great little program called system mechanic. One of the many features it has is called SAFE INSTALL. It lets you know exactly what changes happen to your computer during an installation. I went to my kids computer and installed mohaa using this feature. At the end, it gave me the entire registry entry, along with everything that was added to my computer. I found the uninstall entry and went to my computer and followed the above instructions and it went without a flaw.

By the way, don't suggest using a program called REGISTRY CLEANER. It's not a bad program, but it doesn't give you access to all the entrys. Only some. (I tried that first). There are 325 entries to the registry for MOHAA.

Here is the location of the uninstall entrys. (There all in one folder)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{0DEA94ED-915A-4834-A87E-388D012C8E02}\DisplayName="Medal of Honor Allied Assault"
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{0DEA94ED-915A-4834-A87E-388D012C8E02}\LogFile="C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{0DEA94ED-915A-4834-A87E-388D012C8E02}\setup.ilg"
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\{0DEA94ED-915A-4834-A87E-388D012C8E02}\UninstallString="RunDll32 C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\INSTAL~1\ENGINE\6\INTEL3~1\Ct or.dll,LaunchSetup "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{0DEA94ED-915A-4834-A87E-388D012C8E02}\SETUP.EXE" -l0x9 "

To simplify this, there all in the folder marked 0DEA94ED. (delete this)

Hope this helps some people.

First off, I know what you mean. It's a great game. I still have it on my computer. I play it every day Online is my favorite.

The reason why I wanted to uninstall it was because I had a few problems, and I wanted to do a fresh install. Because I wasn't able to uninstall, this was impossible.

With my fresh install, everything works fine now. Just thought I'd pass the info on because I've seen quite a few people asking this question in the past.
