Default Also clearing up a Problem with Wincdg and Karaoke Builder

sponsored links

OK GUYS ?

Why do some discs play ok in Karaoke Builder and not In WinCDG

this problem needs to be cured with either hex editor or the new version of cdgfix (for those who have purchased it)

a typical line of a cdg track is this :-

09 29 16 39 00 0F 09 0B 20 20 20 30 30 30 30 30 40 00 40 00 00 00 00 00

problem with wincdg is that in the co-ordinates 00 0F

a cdg player and karaoke builder ignores the first digit of each of the byte 0 0 . which it is supposed to do.
win cdg doesn't.
so if one of those digits was not a 0 you will get problems with that perticular block in wincdg. on times depending on the block digit, once burnt to disc the error may not show up. (I Hope your all following me) lol

here's an example of what these bytes do

00 0F 09 0B

00 is the block colour (this tells you what colour the block should be, it is at present set to the same colour as the background

0F it the Data colours(this tells you what colour the writing inside the block should be, 0F is White

09 and 0B is the grid location of where the block should be on the screen

so basicly if a error shows up in wincdg and not in karaoke biulder , playcdg, etc . you have 2 options.

1 repair the error
2.don't use wincdg

jbes
