Hi people

im going 2 order the "auto key" mod and want 2 know if 4 sure it can play 80 min cd like the "ace key"

Yes, the Autokey 3-wire mode will play 80-minute DVD-rips. Just make sure you start the PS2 in the following mode: "PS2 CDR backup Mode 2". The following site has the correct instructions for DVDR, PS2 CDR, and PS1 CDR loading.
I have had a 100% success rate in loading games in each of these modes (including DVD-rips over 74 minutes). It just took awhile to figure it out due to the poor instructions that consolesource has for this mod. Before getting DVDRs to load properly I also had to reset my Gameshark hardware back to it's default settings.
