Whats are the disadvantages of networking to PC using only a cross over cable?

I guess the only disadvantage is the wiring that you need to do to connect them together.

The only disadvantage of using a cross over cable instead of a hub for connecting PC's is that you can only connect two together.

Otherwise, it is the quickest way to network, as the cards are directly linked, and if you have full duplex cards, this is even more the case.

Ok. Thats cool I connected the two PC's together. I was able to share internet connection. Then I did something really stupid! I tried to share printers, I ran network wizard and I haven't been abke to connect to the internet on the 2nd PC. Whats wrong what should I look for? I've tried everything even system restore. What did I do wrong? I can't connect on 2 PC.

It's probably a problem with your IP configuration, set both computers to be on the same network as they should have been before. And check your proxy settings/gateway on the second machine.
