Default KAZAA & KAZAA Lite - the same?

sponsored links

Are you sharing the same resources when logged onto KAZAA or KAZAA Lite, and is KAZAA Lite just tricking you into thinking there's no spyware included? I ask coz when I started using Lite it picked up unfinished downloads from my Kazaa shared folder.

Default Yes it does!!!!

it does have spyware!!!

Cydoor to be exact!!!!

cd_clint.dll

they will tell u that u need that this is needed for kazaa to function!

this is true ... but they will say it isnt spyware but yes it is!!!

i ran a sniffer on this and it was "calling home" none stop!

look peps do what u want but i wouldent touch kazaa with a **** probe

try blubster ( www.blubster.com )

yes but if u havent read the faqs in the kazaalite website it says it installs a FAKE version of Cydoor (made by CounterExploitation) in order for the program to work. even though ad-aware picks it up, just ignore it. really it doesnt do anything. IT'S FAKE.

If it's a fake then why is it "calling home"? A bit confusing.

Anyhow - on the other part of the question. If I am logged into lite can I pick up files from people logged into KAZAA, and visa versa?

Thanks

OK so they make a programme and pack it full of spyware so they can make some $$ from it, then when peeps complain they release a 'light' version without spyware, meaning the full version makes money for them but the light one doesn't. They know that people will dump the full version if there is a spyware free alternative available, thus cutting their own income source?.

Really people, the full version was released without any warning about the spyware in it and now you're going to believe them when they say the lite version is free from nasties?. I don't think so.
