Default *.ogg files

i d/l an album, and the tracks are .ogg files, what do i do with these? please.

.OGG or Ogg Vorbis is an alternative to MP3. It's also compression but not as lossy as MP3. Winamp should be able to play .ogg files.

If you want to convert them to mp3 files, use a program such as [url=***********][b]dBpowerAMP[/b][/url] with Ogg Vorbis encoder, which you can get [url=***********][b]HERE[/b][/url]. I'm going to move this to the Audio forum now.

Converting to mp3 is a bad idea. If you want to burn them as an audio CD, then just use Nero, BurnAtOnce, BlindWrite, etc. just make sure that you have the decoder installed first if needed.

For playback, as said winamp, but also foobar2000 or even wmp.

I had one of them and converted straight to wav with the encoding bit in Nero 6, works a treat
