Default Changing wmv to asf?

sponsored links

Is there a way to do this? If not, is there a way to get wmv files converted to avi without taking ridiculous amounts of space(I mean 10 times the size of the original)? Please help me out...thanks.

As I said in one of your other posts on this. TMPGEnc can convert a WMV file to AVI. As I also said DivX or XVid will give you the best quality/size.

So use TMPGEnc to convert the file to an AVI using DivX or XviD and perhaps mp3 for audio.

When you save out an AVI it has a settings dialoge for both audio and video. Select mp3 for the audio and you will have mp3 audio. If mp3 is not an option then you will need to install an mp3 codec.

AVI is just a container format. It can use many different codecs.
