Default Is Grand Theft Auto Dvd-r better than the cd-r for the playstation 2?

Hi, I am just curious because when I play my grand theft auto cdr the machine as you all know makes these crazy noises, I was wondering if the dvd-r (apple brand)is as bad on making noises as the cdr. Any help would be great.

Maybe it's just my copy but has anyone else felt ill watching the screen as you're running thru liberty city and the console is accessing the disk information...I couldn't even play the cdr b/c of's still noticeable on the dvdr (as well as on the original), but the cdr just drove me I said though, could've just been my copy, the media used, etc, etc...

...this is why I shouldn't make replies late at (finally) answer your question, as Bill Yates up there's just the cdr that's very noisy from accessing the disk...dvdr is much less harsh on the ears...if you like game and aren't going to throw down $$$ for the original then I would say play it safe if you're at all concerned and just grab the dvdr...
