i went to the at&t website and i found some information on newsgroups, but i couldn't find the server name. you should probably give them a call or e-mail them.

did they set up the broadband on your computer, like did a technician come over and do everything? if so then chances are that they set up an e-mail account for use with outlook express. if that's the case, then your news server would be in there somwhere.

it seems complicated, but all you need is to find out is what your news server's name is.

hey, dc fisherman, go here:

********help.broadband.att.com/faq.jsp?content_id=876&lobid=1

look for number 7 "In the News (NNTP) server field, type:" and click the link next to it. then enter your zip code and it should tell you what your news server is.

yep! that's most likely it!

just enter that into grabit. edit----> preferneces and in the server tab where it says "hostname", enter the server name. you don't have to change anything else.

once you're done that, you'll see a screen that that has a column at the left and a blank window at the right.

click on the tab that says "all groups" and hit the update list button. it will get all the groups on your news server.

i'm not allowed to give the full name of the group on this forum, but in the filter field, type in dreamcast. you'll see it. it has binaries in the name of it.

keep in mind that some news servers may not carry it so if you see it, you're lucky!

all you do next is right click on the name and choose "subscribe" the name of teh group will appear in the left hand column. right click on it and choose "full update".

the name of teh group will appear on a tab in the right hand window. that's where the games will be. the batch tab shows the download progress.

once the newsgroup has been updated, you'll see the listings in the tab that has the name of the group on it.

tell me if you get that far and i'll walk you through.
