Default how do you organize programs to be in start/programs folder

sponsored links

I have winxp pro...
I wanted to have everything organized so i dont have a million programs when i go to START-> PROGRAMS

I wanted to set it up something like this:

Start-> Programs -> Games (and have all my games here - not just xp games)

Start-> programs -> Burning (and have all my burning software

Start -> Programs -> xbox (and have all my xbox software)

etc.

this way it looks somewhat neater

I know some programs give u the option on install with the program group - but a lot dont.

so, how do you do this with files that ARE installed already....

AND how do you do this with new installs

THANKS!

Right click on Start, in the right click menu you will see "Open" and "Open All Users" click on the one you want to use then click on "Programs", now you can organise your start menu into folders (right click menu for new folders), with that window still open right click on Start again and click on the folder that you never opened before (open or open all users), and again click on "programs", if any programs have been installed to this menu you can drag them over if you wish.

For new programs select which folder on the start menu to have the shortcut, if the option isn't given you'll just have to repeat the above process.

Hope this makes sense .
