Default Device reserved by other processes"????(important)

(Posted this under CD/R+RW, but thought I would also put in a higher traffic area)

I did a search, found the same question, but no answer. I've searched google, to no avail.

I am using EZCD5 Plat., WinXP w/SP1, Philips DVD+RW DVD8601, all EZCDC patches installed for application.

When I try to access a disk after formatting with Direct CD, I get the error message
"Device is reserved by other processes. Drive reported an unknown error (0x8000001a). You will not be able to acdess the disk through drive letter."

I am at a complete loss as to where to even begin looking. Only thing that has changed is the owner of the computer ran Registry Mechanic this morning, but the mechanic affected nothing else. I checked Roxio's website, my drive wasn't listed as supported, but it worked before this morning. I've run a restore to yesterday when it was working, no good. It's showing up in Windows ok, no conflicts. I can't think of anything else to check.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!
