Default 3DMark 03 probs

sponsored links

I just installed a Sapphire 980 Proo 128mb card, upgraded from a GeForce 4 TI4200, Uninstalled the old card along with the old drivers properly, then when I run 3dmark 03 on the Radeon it gets to the second Proton game test, and about half way thru it, it locks up and the Monitor turns off, the light on the monitor goes amber, Why would this be? it's not a overheating problem because my CPU temps are fine, got a big fan blowing into the case. What else could it be?

I just tried some games on it, they also lock up, screen colors mess up or the game dumps to desktop and a windows error says device failed. I am very angry because it has cost me 140 quid and I expected better. May I mention when I installed this card I did not use the drivers supplied on the CD it came with, I went straight to ATI website and got the latest Cat drivers.

How big is your power supply? You need around 300 watts to run that card properly.
