Default Downsizing files..Zip?

sponsored links

Hi guys,
I want to know a program which can zip a file in big size, let's say 100 mb zip it into 70 mb? I have this game (can't mention the name) it's zipped and its size is around 20 mb and when i unzip it, the file is like more than 100 mb. Then i tried to zip the unzip files again using winzip, and i chose the option of MAXIMUM. (The slowest zipping process) and it zipped the files into 20 mb again. And my question is, when i zip a video format of the size, let's say 70 mb, how come when it's zipped, the size minimizes a little bit, like 3-5 mb less?
Is there any program that can zip a big size files ?
thank you

I think it depends on wether the things you are zipping is one file or several files, as it can zip it more if its several files.

The compression level , will mainly depend on what file type it is, if you are compressing text files, or even program files, as these are filled with lots of spaces and duplicated entries, the compression result will be high.

Whereby, a video file are normally compressed already (such as MPEG), so trying to compress it again using WinZIP, you will yield little result .

Yeah video files are already copressed so you wont see much difference but you could give win rar ago and put the file in a rar archive it might compress it slightly more, but you can also split the archive so a 100mb file can be split into 4 20mb rar files which can be joined to gether with win rar.
