I'm having a similar problem but in a diferent way. I've tried without success to burn some data using Roxio Easy CD Creator 8 with a Sony CD-RW Multi Speed 1x 2x 4x. I was starting to think that i had lost my CDROM unit, but i decided to try with a Sony CD-R of 200MB and "voila!", it worked just like always... I tried with several CD-RW Sony CD's without success... any idea???

If your burner writes CD-RW at high speed - 10x & above - then you might be better with a different brand of CD-RW media.

You don't actually say what's going wrong. I've got Roxio 7.5 & I'd use Classic Creator taking the data disc option. I know that Roxio 8 has changed a bit - me no likey the changes - but I think you still do it this way. So what happens when you try?
