Question SACD or DVD-A

sponsored links

Hi guys.

Which is best, and which is gonna win the battle for supremacy ?????????

SACD or DVD-A

Any help and advice really appreciated as im just about to go and buy a dvd player that incorporates DVD-A and I need to find out if im going down the right route !!!!!!!! (I could always change my mind on your advice)

Is there any noticable difference in the quality of the sound from the two different formats ??????

Cheers for any help and advice,

Kelvin

DVD audio and SACD are both awesome. I have both and I prefer SACD to DVD audio. You would be hard pressed to tell a difference between the two. but personally I prefer SACD. btw the ps2 plays dvd audio, so if you have one thats connected to a 5.1 setup go buy a DVD audio disc and check it out. Im not sure which will surpass cd, but it will be awhile.

You can of course get players which play both formats. You'll pay more but at least it means you won't lose out in the format war. ***********.techtronics.com has some good info. This will be one of those issues in which you'll get rabid DVDA and SACD proponents swear that their format is the best. I think that both formats are great - it's more an issue of who wins the marketing war (much like beta v vhs).
