Default How can you find your hardisks write speed?

i wonder if theres a small prog that can tell u what your hardisks write speed is, like a prog i got that can tell what version of S3 card you have from in dos, by querying its ID chip.....?

[re a quantum fireball CX 3.5 series, of about 10gb]

VLC,

either something like AIDA32 but not at home to check what info it gives.

Otherwise most of the major HD makers make a diag program which will give give you this info. Try the Maxtor programs available from their website.

1.is 'aida32' a prog i can download an use on my pc?
2.i didnt get a cdrom with mine for that diag prog but i'll look for it.
3.dont you mean 'quantum'.
