Question VCDs from My PC Laptop to TV - Problem!!

sponsored links

I've recently purchased a new laptop (running Windows XP) with a tv out socket. VCDs played fine on the laptop using either Windows Media player or Power DVD. Then I hooked a SVideo lead to th TV out point on the back of the laptop, and inserted the other end into a scart adaptor and pushed the scart end into the socket on the back of my tv.

Next I followed the instructions which came with the PC laptop for connecting a "Notebook" for TV-Out, which were as follows:

"From the windows taskbar, click Start and open Control Panel.
Select the Display and Designs icon and click Display.
From Display Properties, select the Settings tab, and click Advanced.
Next click the S3Display tab and switch on your TV. Select PAL as TV type.

Great everything works fine - except the picture on the TV is only in black and white.

I've tried changing the leads. I've even tried hooking up to another tv set, but the picture I receive is still no colour.

- CAN ANYONE HELP???
