Question How to do MULTI program DVD's like Friends or Sopranos? I have to RIP to 2x.m2v +.ac3

sponsored links

Hi

Thanks for looking in.

I have friends and The Sopranos on DVD andd want to back them up.

I have used the SUPERB method on www.dvd2dvdr.com many many times for one off movies BUT am now a little confused on how I copy a DVD that has two or three seperate programs on one disc.

When using smart ripper it will only RIP one program at a time. So for a 2 prgram DVD disc I have to RIP it twice choosing a different tv prog each time.

What I want to do is merge the WHOLE 2 or 3 tv progs in to one BIG m2v and ac3 file - and then use rempeg2 AND spruce up to create one DVD with both progs on the same disc.

I'd just use chapter selection or menus in spruce to 'jump' to each different program.

I hope you know what I am going on about and that I have explained myself properly.

Any and ALL help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers guys!

I'm sure clad dvd has this feature if you use the "no ifo parsing" option you can select the vobs you need.

or

have you tried to join the vobs together with a file merge prog.

I see what you are trying to do but it you have both episodes as seperate files why would this cause a problem? I make custom dvd's myself and tbh would find it better if the episodes were seperate cause then I could mix and match easily whereas with one large file (containing both episodes) would have to be cut up (taking more time to sort out), if you know what I mean?

Thnakss guys for those suggestions - I'll have a go and let you know.

Zaa ..... I don't mind if they are separate files or anthing - I just thought you could not have more than one AUDIO_TS folder and one VIDEO_TS folder on the final DVD that you burn.

Am I missing something then 'cos I'll gladly have 2 seperate files but how do I get them BOTH into spruce up to create one DVD?

Cheers Chaps!

you could try re-encoding the files individually using tmpgenc. This would take time but give you the seperate m2v files. You can then autorize to your liking in spruce.
