Default cant stop a pop up! help

everytime i go on the internet i get a site call topclicks opens itself up. ive cleared my files out but to no avail.
what can i do to stop it!

has a program been installed on my pc.

aaaarrrrggghhhh

hi m8 if u download a lot of the net yes they can put software on your pc with out you knowing
normal its done if u are on a mp3 site
if i was you check your pc for spysoftware best one are spycop and of course everyone knows adaware
see if that helps you out a bit

tried the above but to no avail. still cant stop topclicks opening itself!!
i can see a nuked pc coming!!!!!!!!

Try spybot search and destroy I dont have a link but try google it should come up.

If that doesent work do the following.

Search your registry for topclicks and delete all the keys that are found.
Run msconfig
start>run>msconfig
go to selective startup see if theres anything in there related to topclicks then locate and delete these files.

Look in the program files folder for anything related to topclicks and delete.

Then look in downloaded program files in thw windows directory and look for anything associated with topclicks and delete.

If in doubt of the files check there propeties especially for downloaded program files.

I think that should do it.

hi try this, go to tools in i.explorer - general - there you can delete your intrenet files. hope this helps

UK_trader is correct. If you do a ctrl+alt+del when it's running, you can narrow it down. Try using [url=***********.lavasoftusa.com/]Ad-Aware. However once you find the offending file, you can't delete is while it's running. So you have to make sure that you disable virtually everything in msconfig and reboot. Then you can delete it.
