i dont think you can get a printer that will print directly on to a cd/dvd you need a programe like expressit and cd/dvd labels to print on.
and please stop shouting take of your (caps lock)

The New Epson 950 does and is a snip from dabs at about 330.

Also does a LOT of other stuff, edge to edge automatic roll feed cutting etc.

Great spec

cheers m8 for the info but reading into this a bit more it seems i need a thermal cd/dvd printer, which seems to write on any type of surface the epson is a water based colour printer so unless i use printable cds they will smudge, all well i will keep looking thanks again for your response, cheers

Casio makes a little printer that prints on CDR's, DVD's etc. It does a great job on the labels but the graphics suck. I bought one at:

*********www.casio.com/labelprinters/product.cfm?product=4328&act=2

for $100.00 US. It is a thermal printer. It does not require any special coating on the disc. Good luck ~ Bill
