Unhappy Burned AUdio CD's wont work in CD player

sponsored links

Hi all,

I've read the how to's and still no answer.

I converted some MP3's to WAV and burned them onto an "Audio CD" using Nero and they work fine on my computer but they dont work in my home stereo.

If I make a "Disk Copy" they seem to work fine but when I want to make a mix with my favorite songs, I cant get it to work on my stereo.

Do I need to change to another format? I thought when it was in WAV then it was ready to burn?

Any help would rock. Thanks in advance.

Are you positive you have selected AUDIO CD from the "Create CD" menu in Nero. The problem may also be linked to the media (the blank CDR) you are using. Did you use the same media to burn the custom audio cd as you did to burn the cd copy?

Also, make sure 'Finalise Disc' is checked when you burn. As sparkster says, some CDRs will not work with hi-fi's.

ok, yes, I selected audio Cd from the menu.. when I explore the CD I see that the files are in CD Audio format.. meaning nero did burn it with the correct format at least.. I'm using 16x, 80min CDr's from CompUSA. And yes, finalize disc was checked.

Maybe I'll try burning at a slower speed??

When you make a mix CD, did you use DAO or TAO?
