Question 4.7 media and 9.4?? can A03 burn dual layer?

sponsored links

Ok, now I know that PS2 games are all on 4.7 gig discs which can be burnt fine with the pioneer A03. But whats up with all DVD video discs being upwards around 9-9.4 GB?? are they all on dual layer discs, or is the DVD media just on a bigger disc? If the media is bigger, when will it be available to the public? and will the pioneer be able to burn these 9+ gig videos???? does this make sense to anyone???

There is no burner (for a home PC) that can burn dual-layer discs. If there was, then this forum would be useless really.

Not sure on the model number , but when i phoned up a local pc shop to ask on the price of the pioneer dvdr the assistant asked me which model only they had one their for 3500 the guy reckoned that it would copie dvd's etc straight off unlike the a03r where u hav to rip the film off the dvd etc , is this the version then that can copie dual layer ?

I think you mean the Pioneer DVR-S201, which is an authoring drive, so yes it can do a straight copy of a movie as long as it can fit. It requires authoring discs vs general use ones and can not write to dual layer blanks either.

No drive currently can.
