no media speed doesn't matter. Would recommend burning at no more than 4x though for the best burn impression and only ever use good quality discs such as verbatim, ritek G05 dyes etc.

I just cleaned the laser and it worked on the first time I tried it!! hoepfully that fixes my problem. Thanks so much for your help ghost
