Default PS2Reality Media Player Plays DIVX DVD's

sponsored links

I know there is some posts around on this but could not find any thing about the DVD version.

I have got a copy of PS2Reality version 1.25.

Now looking back though the past posts you can't do a DVD version of it. I have tryied as well on DVD.

But you can put your DIVX films on DVD and play them.

I have a No-solder Chip (this opens the tray letting the PS2 think it is still closed) which works great.
I have tryed it with the Neo Key which does not work!!!
I have not tryed it with any thing else so I can't comment on if it works with any other chip. (leave post below on what chips do or dont work)

How it works.

Step 1.
Burn DIVX film's on to DVD. (I have done DVD-R and DVD-RW and both workfine)

Step 2.
Burn a copy of PS2Reality Media Player 1.25 on to CD-R. (Go to for the latest version)

Step 3.
Boot up Reality Media Player on your PS2.

Step 4.
Select all the items when it starts up. (You will know what I mean when it starts)

Step 5.
Press 'X' to go in to Browser for the CD-R.

Step 6.
Press 'Eject' and put a real PS2 DVD game in. (not a PS2 CD game*) This will read the DVD.

Step 7.
Hold the 'Eject' button down until tray comes out. Replace Game with DVD-R or DVD-RW. The tray will go back in on its own.

Step 8.
Press 'O' to refresh. As long as the films end in .avi it will come up on the screen.

Step 9.
Select the right film and press 'X'. (The film will start playing)

Step 10.
Sit up all night watching as many films as you can. (This step is optional)

This way works great with my No-Solder mod chip and it works every time. So now you dont have to worry about getting one film on a CD-R you can have loads on one DVD-R.

*How to tell if your PS2 game is CD or DVD.
Look on the real PS2 game. It will have the 'Compact Disc' symble if it is a CD game and it will have the 'DVD' symble on it if it is a DVD game.

There are many different types of DIVX/Avi files so if you look for other posts then you can find out which bit rate etc you can use.

Any other comments leave below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Keep it up every one.

It will only play DIVX movies.
So if it has sub's on top of the film it will work.
