Question DivX to DVD: HELP needed!

sponsored links

Hi,

wondering if any one can help me. I have a bunch of DivX movies that I want to turn into DVDs (standalone players compatible).

I can turn 1 divx movie into DVD format no problem (Using East CD Creator 6 - DVD Builder). The problem I am having is there is room on the DVD for 2 movies. But no matter what I do, it just wont work.

DVD Builder just craps out, saying files too big (when they are not, file size total 3.9G )

I got some of the way using Spruce up, made the the two films into indivdual .iso files, "ripped" them using smart ripper. This is where Spruce Up dvd craps out, it will import the the two ripped movies, but NOT the sound (as the ripped movies do not make AC3 files.

Smart ripper calles them "vts_02_([0xC0]_Audio_Not_Specified_MPEG1(2Ch)_48kHz_16bit__)_Del ay_0ms.mp2".

Is there Any way of doing this? I want to have a menu as well so I can select which movie to play.

[edit]title typo[/edit]

Rename it to mpa.

Also your title is DVD to DivX where as your question is DivX to DVD.

Rename which file?

The "vts_02_([0xC0]_Audio_Not_Specified_MPEG1(2Ch)_48kHz_16bit__)_Del ay_0ms.mp2"

change it to,

vts_02_([0xC0]_Audio_Not_Specified_MPEG1(2Ch)_48kHz_16bit__)_Del ay_0ms.mpa

Will Spruce up import the sound file automatically then?

thanks for the quick responce.

Which file? As far as I could see you only named one.

No for the audio to be imported automatically it would need to be the same name as the video, same as usual.

So you would have movie.m2v and movie.mpa.

Be carefull to avoid double extentions such as movie.mpa.mp2.

Hi,

forgive my ignorance, but I'm not quite following you.

1) I only mentioned one file, but Smart Ripper made 10 or so. So it is the .mp2 file I rename?

2) Once I have rename the correct file, then what? What do I use / do?

I tried re-importing the .m2v file into a clean project in Spruce Up, but there was still not sound.

I tried to "add" the sound file by itself, but got an error saying cannot "import sound files directly".

Sorry if these are newbiee / stupid questions, thanks for your help so far.
