Default Question about dvd audio streams...

sponsored links

Hello,

Im using dvd shrink to reduce the size of movie dvds, i see several audio stream, my question is if i keep an ac3 - 6ch normal english audio stream, will i be able to delete the other audio streams such as ac3 - 2 ch or ac3 - 3 ch normal audio streams, I know for a fact that some of these audio stream are directors commentaries and such that, because there audio streams are not so large as the main audio streams such as ac3 6 ch or the dts 6 ch. Oh yeah, will the dts audio stream be compatible with regular tv or do we need a surround system to use it?

Well do you want the extra audio streams? If not then there is no reason not to get rid of them.

As for DTS, yes, you need compatible equipment for it. So if you do leave the DTS, I would suggest keeping an AC3 track to.
